IMPACT: The Grand Tale Sharing
As of September 11th, Korea Blockchain Week ended. It has been a remarkable week, brimming with enthusiasm and exhilarating moments. Let’s begin by highlighting the main event, the IMPACT conference.

While getting ready for the IMPACT conference for the past months, we set forth several goals. Our aim was to showcase the most brilliant minds in the field, allowing them to share their insights on stage. Yet, the most crucial objective was to feature discussions that couldn’t simply be found through a Google search. Our emphasis laid in ensuring that both attendees and speakers could delve into an entirely new realm of knowledge and perspectives, something not readily accessible online.
We take great pride in announcing that the IMPACT conference exceeded our expectations, achieving remarkable success. We had the privilege of hosting 231 speakers from diverse areas within the blockchain industry, including prominent figures such as Vitalik Buterin from Ethereum Foundation, Jeremy Allaire from Circle, Arthur Hayes, Mike Belshe from Bitgo, Ed Felten from Offchain Labs, Hilmar Veigar from CCP Games, Sergey Nazarov from Chainlink, Commissioner Pham from CFTC and many more. Notably, this marks a significant increase from the 103 speakers we hosted in KBW2022, making this year’s conference a new milestone for KBW.

<CFTC Commissioner Pham and Jin Kang (Hashed)>
While last year’s conference primarily centered on various facets of the blockchain space, guiding our audience through its various dimensions, this year’s event adopted a different approach. We structured the entire conference around a grand narrative, dividing it into 13 distinct themes that we believe are essential for the growth of the blockchain ecosystem. Our diligent research led us to explore what we considered the most pivotal inquiries within the blockchain sphere.
Consequently, the event became a rich tapestry of discussions, controversies, and thought-provoking dialogues, presenting a unique and exclusive experience that could only be savored at the IMPACT conference.

Hashed Potato Club: Hashed Founder’s Night
The Hashed 2023 Founder’s Night at the Astin House marked a significant milestone for us. As a global blockchain ecosystem player, we orchestrated the Hashed Founder’s Night to articulate our vision for the future of the blockchain landscape. In doing so, we extended invitations to the foremost minds from our portfolio companies, the builders in the blockchain space, as well as thought leaders in the blockchain industry The aim was to foster networking opportunities and facilitate profound discussions, delving into the paths that will shape the expansion of the blockchain ecosystem as a whole.
< Hashed Potato Club: Hashed Founder’s Night>
The Hashed Founder’s Night served as a valuable occasion for both our portfolio companies and the diverse array of influential thought leaders and builders to come together, exchange ideas, and craft meaningful plans that have the potential to bring about tangible changes within the blockchain ecosystem.

As we persist in our mission to facilitate connections among our portfolio companies, blockchain founders, and ecosystem builders, we are in the process of establishing an open community named the Hashed Potato Club followed by the Hashed Founder’s Night.
<Hashed Potato Club>
We’ve long recognized the vital importance of fostering communication, dialogue, and partnerships among companies, founders, and builders in order to drive meaningful transformation within the forthcoming blockchain landscape.
As we commit ourselves to the growth of the blockchain ecosystem, the Hashed Potato Club will play a pivotal role as a gathering place where founders, builders, and investors can come together, cooperate, and mutually bolster the progress of the blockchain ecosystem.
The Korea Blockchain Week
The entire week brimmed with enthusiasm and creative spark. This year, the Korea Blockchain Week witnessed a nearly twofold increase in the multitude of side events. Not to mention ‘The Gateway: Korea’, along with the Micro Seoul Festival: Seoul Bound, that added vibrant dimensions by fusing art, music, and technology, drawing both creators and builders into the mix.

In support of our portfolio companies, Hashed has hosted a number of side events. These include the StoryProtocol x Hashed VIP Dinner, DSRV Builder’s House “Sarang Bang”, NEAR Seoul, Women in Tech, Hangover Happy Hour with Vega Protocol, Global Symposium on Crypto Law, and the CyberEvening Seoul Meetup with CyberConnect. We were thrilled to engage with our portfolio companies, enrich their experiences through diverse forms of support, such as event coordination and offering communal spaces for gatherings, and facilitating connections among builders and founders in the industry.

We are thrilled to announce that during Korea Blockchain Week, we provided support to more than 35 of our portfolio companies as they have participated as speakers at the KBW IMPACT conference. Additionally, our portfolio companies hosted over 25 side events throughout the week, adding a vibrant and exciting dimension to the entire event.
Collectively, these side events brought together builders, investors, and passionate blockchain enthusiasts, creating an environment where they could unite to both enjoy and engage in mutual learning. It was a platform for sharing their ongoing progress and innovative ideas.
Despite the challenging market conditions of 2022 and 2023, the fervor within the space was truly remarkable. The sheer quantity of builders present, the depth of discussions underway, and the unwavering enthusiasm demonstrated by attendees were compelling evidence that the blockchain ecosystem was steadily maturing year after year, growing at a pace that exceeded anyone’s expectations.
